VEB.RF issues 1st tranche of 2.5 bln rbl loan for waste-fired plant
MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) -- Russian state development corporation VEB.RF has disbursed the first tranche of a 2.5 billion ruble bridge loan for construction of a 55-megawatt (MW) waste-fired power plant with the waste processing capacity of 550,000 tonnes per year, VEB.RF said in a statement on Wednesday.
“VEB.RF has issued the first tranche of a bridge loan with a drawdown limit of 2.5 billion rubles for the project for construction of a plant for power utilization of solid waste with a capacity of 550,000 tonnes per year and installed capacity of 55 MW in the republic of Tatarstan,” the statement read.
The loan is transferred to RT-Invest, a unit of state industrial corporation Rostec that is building four waste-fired power plants in the Moscow Region to utilize 2.8 million tonnes of waste per year and produce 280 MW of power.
